Meche Pineda has spent the last decade organizing alongside indigenous youth and families throughout California’s Central Valley. Their work has been grounded in Mesoamerican wisdom to help communities thrive by deepening connections with culture, land, and food. They thrive to create spaces where people can intentionally exchange knowledge, meaningful relationships, and build collective resilience. Meche’s approach to ISN is rooted in community self-determination, cultural revitalization, and environmental stewardship and its interchangeable application towards the wellness and sustainability of all communities.
